"The purpose of the research is to find the relationship between goals and content in order to improve existing content (Samii and Afzal Khani, 2013)." Sixth Grade Experimental Science Book is one of the important books of this period. By analyzing the content, we can improve the quality of the textbook by activating the book and selecting good concepts. The purpose of this study was to analyze the content of the sixth grade elementary science books based on Merrill's model. The statistical population is the content of the experimental sixth grade elementary school textbook in the academic year 1397-1398. The statistical sample is equal to the volume of the statistical population. The present study is an applied research and research method is descriptive and content analysis. The results of this study showed that most of the courses were practical and also the types of primary and secondary presentation were used appropriately. The segregation, variety, coherence principles and difficulties, have been observed. تحلیل محتوا یک علم و روش تحقیق است که در زمینه کتب درسی به دلیل اهمیت موضوع، طرفداران زیادی پیدا کرده است. «هدف از تحلیل محتوا، یافتن نسبت بین اهداف و محتوا به منظور بهبود محتوای موجود می‌باشد (سمیعی و افضل خانی، 1392).» با تحلیل محتوا می‌توانیم با فعال و پویا کردن کتاب و انتخاب مفاهیم خوب کیفیت کتاب درسی را بالا ببریم. این پژوهش با هدف تحلیل محتـوای کتـاب علوم تجربی پایه ششم ابتدایی بر اساس الگوی مریل انجام شده است. جامعه آماری، محتوای کتاب درسی علوم تجربی پایه ششم ابتدایی در سال تحصیلی 1398 – 1397 می‌باشد. نمونه آماری برابر با حجم جامعه آماری می‌باشد. پژوهش حاضر از نوع کاربردی و روش تحقیق آن، توصیفی و از نوع تحلیل محتوا می‌باشد، نتایج حاصل از این پژوهش نشان داد که بیشتر دروس کتاب از نوع عملی بود همچنین انواع ارائه اولیه و ثانویه به میزان مناسبی به کار رفته بود همچنین اصل تفکیک در بیشتر درس‌های این کتاب رعایت شده، اصل تنوع مثال، اصل همتاسازی و سطح دشواری در این کتاب رعایت شده است. https://basicscience.cfu.ac.ir/article_968_b308c2274ca2e4ae2ae5e1310a0bb29b.pdf
