The effectiveness of training problem solving strategies on quality of life in elementary school students

Abstract

The present study was conducted with the aim of investigating the effect of training problem solving strategies on the quality of life of fifth grade students in schools in Silvana region.
the courses of Shahid Hammat, academic year 1403-1402, held in Silvana region, Urmia city, this issue was discussed.
Among the students whose teachers had participated in these courses, 12 people were selected as the experimental group and another 12 people were selected as the control group. The pre-test and post-test results of the learning quality questionnaire of these two groups were analyzed using descriptive (mean and standard deviation) and inferential (covariance test) statistical analyzes in SPSS 27 software. The results showed a significant increase in the average scores of the quality of school life in the experimental group compared to the control group. Covariance analysis of the data showed that teaching problem solving strategies to the experimental group with effect sizes of 0.46, 0.42, 0.32, 0.34 and 0.50, respectively, caused a significant increase in social cohesion, opportunities, adventure and improvement, general satisfaction and dicrease of the negative emotions of this group.
