The purpose of this work is to determine the effectiveness of the ECIRR learning model with the visual puzzle approach to reduce the misunderstandings of the 10th grade experimental science students of Farboud High School, District 2, Shiraz, in the academic year 1400-1401. The research method is semi-experimental and has been carried out as a pre-test and post-test design with a control group. In the experimental group, during 9 sessions, the topic of work and energy was taught using the ECIRR learning model with a visual puzzle approach. On the other hand, in the control group, training has been done traditionally. Students' misunderstandings in the discussion of work and energy have been evaluated with the two factors of attitude and physics performance. In order to collect data, a researcher-made questionnaire was used to check students' attitudes and a teacher-made test was used to check students' performance in physics. Data were analyzed using one-way analysis of covariance. The obtained results showed that there is a significant difference between the experimental group and the control group in performance and attitude towards physics, which confirms the positive effectiveness of the ECIRR learning model with the visual puzzle approach.
